I’m a visual artist, goldsmith and art educator. I’ve also studied cultural management and have a background in pedagogical practices and customer service. Currently, I work in the field of museum pedagogy at Amos Rex art museum. All of my previous studying and working experiences, plus numerous encounters with different people, have affected my artistic and pedagogical skills and thinking.
I work with different types of mediums simultaneously; I draw, write, paint, sew and build. When I work as an art educator, I try to listen and learn from the people I work with and aim to make space for experimenting, feeling and collaborating in a loving, empathetic way. I aim for sustainability, equity and inclusion in everything I do.
For me art making and -teaching is primarily about combining multilayered forms of communication; it’s about looking at the world from different perspectives, exploring the unknown and trying to create an environment based on trust, hospitality and belonging.
